Banking

Setting up a bank account is a very simple ordeal. 

You only need your passport, immigration card and of course money. 

I recommend T Bank (formerly Tinkoff)  personally. It seems to be the most widely used and the app is very user friendly. You can also exchange money at decent rates. 

Debit cards normally take no more than a few hours to 24 hours to receive. 

Some banks will come to your location.  Generally, you can bring $10,000 into Russian without needing to declare the money.
